About Gemma
I've been teaching swim lessons for twenty years (since I was 14!) and consider it one of the most rewarding things I get to do. I am committed to ongoing education when it comes to teaching swimming and water safety and always want my "swim kids," as I affectionately call them, to have the best possible experience.

In addition to teaching swimming, I'm also a copywriter and editor for small business clients. I earned my B.A in English at Bowdoin College and my MFA in Creative Writing at UMass Boston. Previously, I spent a decade working as a nonprofit administrator for the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown.

When I'm not working or writing, you can find me hanging out with my pup, paddleboarding, spending time with friends, and enjoying the beauty of Cape Cod.
